With over a decade of songwriting experience,Tim Cannon multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter experiments with genres ranging from retro rock, acoustic, and electric. Adding his own flavor of expressive soul with an edge, he plays all of the instruments on his music from bass, drums, all guitars and vocals, unless of course otherwise noted.''I play a wide range of music,lots of styles and I have an expansive list of originals and coversongs to play in virtually any type of venue.Music is my passion and people can tell that I really love what I do.They enjoy being entertained just as enjoy to entertain.I love to walk into a room full of energy and take it higher.''
In his own home studio is where most of the tracking takes place. "I like the freedom to do whatever I want whenever I want, but when the time comes to mix a song or master it, thats when I hit the studio.I really enjoy playing the parts on my records.Aside from his vocal and guitar expertise,he is also a proficient drummer.At age 11 he began studying drums with Joe Rizzo at Hampshire Music , and then at 14 Roger Brockelbank, and later world-class drum teacher Gary Chaffee. "I worked on my drum technique and chops for years, but then I wanted to expand and learn guitar. Most musical instruments came natural to me.''
In 1999, he formed a funk experimental band with friends, Aaron Denny and Brendan Peck called "The Hyperbolics". The name was inspired by a Funk-Soul legend Isaac Hayes.''It was from a song called "hyperbolicsylibicsesquedalmistic". The band was tight and many songs were born."Creative disagreements in the band made it impossible for anyone to bear. A band is like a marriage, in this case it was like being married to two people, everyone has their own ideas of what should or shouldn't be. Unfortunately,we weren't happy enough to stay a band. These guys are really lifelong friends and that can't change."
He struck out on his own writing songs like'' The Sweetest Girl I Know'' "As long as I get some" "Face of Hatred","Be All Mine",''Everything Feels Fine'' which are available on his debut and second CD releases. "I'm still perfecting everything I do. I'm working on my new full length album.
